The 200 mm deep ground spigot is cemented into the ground leaving the top flush with the ground surface, the spigot has a hinged lid that completely covers the top (when the post is not in use), this makes it safe for pedestrians and vehicles to cross. This hinged lid can also be locked into the down position when the post is not in use.
